Jo lives in Mumbles, where she paints

in her home studio.

She is known for her dramatic

depictions of the open ocean, in which

the waves exude energy and motion.

Her work encompasses a broad range

of landscapes and images from which her distinctive  abstract depictions are derived.  Much of her work also takes the form of more site-specific impressions of the local Gower seascapes and landscapes..

Favouring mixed media, and textured finishes, Jo works in plaster, acrylic, oil and resin as well as incorporating precious metals, stones and gems into her pieces.  She more often than not utilises the impasto technique in her painting.  Jo also models and creates her surface backgrounds prior to painting, her unique and personal approach to her craft consequently promises that you will be able to discern a more sculptural and tactile edge to her work.

Jo’s   work is held by many private collections throughout the UK, Europe and worldwide. Her work can also be found in a few select galleries – most notably,in Harbour Lights Gallery (,- Porthgain, Pembrokeshire) and the Oriel Mimosa Gallery, (Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire).
